Default Planning a trip to Missouri from Nebraska

Hi all,

My father and I are heading down to Missouri for a week on this Sunday. We were going to go to Ozark or Branson.

Can anyone suggest places to stay, roads to take, day trips to make? Any helpful information would be great.

We really don't have anything specific in mind at all, just was a good distance and should be great weather. So if there are places near there in Arkansas or Oklahoma that you think are better please speak up.

Thanks in advance all!

Jacob

No place better then Branson..http://www.branson.com/..dig thru here and find anything you want..the cabins are usually a great place to stay..Rt 160 east out of town is a good place to start..take whatever road south into Arkansas and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy the trip and watch for deer this time of year. they're about the size of a big dog and hard to see. Also watch for other critters and firewood in the road..'tis the season.

Well, how did the trip go? I found this thread too late to be of any use, but I like that area and am curious how it went ...

Be sure to call ahead and make reservations. This weekend is Bike, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville Ar. and places can be hard to find. Just a pre trip thought. By the way... that part of the country is some beautiful riding, love the ozark.

Wow, what a trip this has been so far. We started off in Branson, rode around for a couple days in some beautiful country. Tuesday we went to Eureka Springs in AK, stayed at the Iron Horse Stables, which I fully recommend to anyone traveling in the area. Yesterday we headed down to Fayatteville for BBB. Unfortunately we have to leave tomorrow, when all the party really starts.

Either way, AK is amazing, some beautiful country, awesome roads, and damn nice people all the way down here. Ill go into more detail when I get home.

Thanks again for the suggestions all!
