Default yellowstone and glacier trip Yee Haw

Well, heading out this morning from Boise. Going to go through Yellowstone -Beartooth Pass then up north to Glacier and the Highway to the Sun. Will then loop up thru Canada, then back down through northern Idaho or easter Washington back to Boise. Will let you all know the details when we get back.

Did Yellostone and Beartooth a couple weeks ago returning from Sturgis.
It was awsome.
Hope you have time to make it up to Jasper on your trip.

just got back from the trip. 2400 miles from Boise thru Yellowstone and over Beartooth. What a ride, and what a view from the top. went from there to Missoula and did the Highway to the Sun in Glacier. Weather was a bit challenging, rain/snow plus some dirt stretches of road going to the top, but was well worth it. Stayed the night in St. Marys, then over to Alberta and Fernie BC, then back thru Spokane and then back to Boise. Was a great trip, I highly reccomend Glacier and Yellowstone, course in the right time of the year.

Thanks for posting the pics and the review. Looks like it was a nice day at the top of the Beartooth.... What was the temperature?

The Beartooth is on my bucket list in the next year... I know it's always a hit and miss up there but I was curious if September was getting too late in the year.

Temp was in the low 50s. real windy but dry. they probably got snow this week, so looks like we hit it none too soon. it is a hell of a ride and well worth it for the scenery.

The road is ussaully fine in Sept, as long as it's not snowing that day, but have your warmweather clothes, it could be cold,,,,,,,,,,but ussually anyway if it's snowed a day or two before the road will dry up pretty quick on a sunny day, I've ridden it several times with snow pretty deep along the side of the road, but the road will be dry.
