Road trip to TN
This June I will be taking my 8yr old son on his first extended trip. We will be leaving Milton, WI (just south of Madison) and heading to Knoxville TN. My son wants to see the football stadium he is going to win the Heisman trophy in. Not 100 % sure of the route as of yet. We have 10 days to make it round trip. We have no set miles per day yet and plan on riding till he is tired and take a break. He does pretty good for 2-3 hours right now. Does anybody have any suggestions on sights to see or routes we should look into?

Man, that's a long ways for an eight year old. Good luck.
Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg would be a place to take your son. There are other attractions in Gatlinburg he'd probably like and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge would be fun for him and you (lots of rides). There are a lot of go cart tracks in Pigeon Forge. A Good way back to Knoxville would be to take Little River Road through Townsend and Maryville.

Coming from Madison, I will assume you are taking I-39 down to Bloomington, Il. then I-74 to Indianapolis, then I-65 to Louisville, then I-64 to Lexington, then I-75 to Knoxville.
With an eight year old its gonna take half of those 10 days to get to Knoxville...lol.....
Once in Knoxville, head down to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Cherokee, Nice riding down there, and stuff for kids to do.
