Default Myrtle Beach Bikeweek

The wife and I returned today from a camping trip to Myrtle Beach. The big story is Bikeweek and whether it will get cancelled. I don't think people realize the seriousness of this. The town leaders really are pushing to end bikeweek. Almost everywhere we went there were petitions for the public to sign if you're in support of keeping bikeweek as is. Anyone who isn't sufforing from cranial rectalitous knows why they are attempting this, not because of Harley week but because of Black bikeweek. They town leaders know they can't stop one without stopping both. If the NAACP would put racism aside just for once and try to get their followers to behave and act somewhat civilized none of this would be happening. Murder, public sex acts, open drug use, ordering exspensive meals at resturaunts and not paying, and the list goes on and on has to stop. Stop playing the race card and talk to the Black community. Now I'm not so naive to believe&nbsp\\;that some whites aren't doing this also and if they are they should be delt with in the strongest possible way, but the majority of the really serious issues are from Black Bikeweek. I also know some idiot from the NAACP will read this and be offended and try and mis-direct the issue. So be-it. The bottom line is there is a good chance both events will be cancelled all because someone doesn't have the courage to stand up for whats really right! Just my .02$&nbsp\\;

Atlantic Beach is the home of Black Week and they have went on record of supporting it.&nbsp\\; Most of the activities of the Harley Bike Week is in Horry County not the City of Myrtle Beach.&nbsp\\; The city is being pushed by a the Sun News for some reason.&nbsp\\; I will boycott any trips to Myrtle Beach until this is settled.&nbsp\\; I know&nbsp\\;my 2 or 3 trips a year is only a drop in the bucket, but if every biker would stick together it would have quite an impact.

I think if everyone stayed away for awhile whether bike week or vacation, the residents would find out what kind of taxes they would end up paying to support the city.

Well I live there, and let me tell ya.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I don't think this will fly.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The people who are complaining are in the minority.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The pulled a knee-jerk reaction.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The city of MB is pretty backwards if ya ask me.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The county would have to follow suit with the city to really do any damage...and so far they are doing nothing, and probably will do nothing.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; What pisses me off is that the city has hiked taxes on everyone to generate some money to combat the bike weeks (approx $1Million) and don't know exactly how they are going to spend it, WTF!?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; We need to fire some people around here.
