RE: Sturgis 08 ..help?
The Lamphere Ranch is a nice campground to stay at justeasts of Sturgis. It is located next to Glencoe and across the street from the Full Throttle Saloon. The Buffalo Chip is also relatively close. There are showers available and are kept clean. They also have agrill to order food from (all meals), pretty good food I might add. I believe they charge $15 per night.
The Lamphere is for the biker who wants to be close to the parties, concerts, etc. but would like some quiet in the late hours to catch up on sleep. Don't get me wrong, when I say quite I mean only one or two bikes rapped out as opposed to 100's.
Keep in mind if you want to see a concert at one of the above mentioned campgrounds make sure you aren't coming in through Sturgis during the rush period (5-7pm). It can take hours to get through downtown during these times and you will more than likely be late for the concert.
