Just completed 8 day trip starting in Jacksonville. Stayed in Melbourne, Homestead, Key West, Naples, and Orlando. Just a bunch of old friends (that were raised in Chicago) getting together to escape the cold and put on some miles.

We traveled A1A south. We stayed in Key West for 3 days (Thanks to the navy for our condo- its good to have a retired military friend). Traveled 41 west to Naples (one breakdown- ignition module failure on 2001 EG Standard). Back roads to Cleremont (Orlando) and then through the Ocala National Forest to Jacksonville. ~ 1400 miles

Good times, good friends. Love the Florida weather and the beaches... but the flat straight roads were not designed with motorcycle enthusiasts in mind.

Trip was timed to avoid the crowds of Bike Week (been there done that) and take advantage of the great mid-winter Florida weather.

Yea, it was one great trip. Next big one we will be making is to the HD 105th. I own a house on Lauderdale (Green) Lake (north of Elkhorn) we will stay at. After we get tired of the crowds its clockwise around Lake Michigan we go!

 

Those are great pics. Thanks! We are planning a trip to the Keys this summer from Missouri. We are doing the Keys then come up the east coast and then do the Dragon Tail on the way home. We are planning a 2 week trip.
