I've been to Michigan plenty enough, thank you very much. My late father loved fishing in Michigan so we spent a lot of time there when I was a kid. He served his Army Reserve days at Camp Grayling. Petosky, Charlevoix, Traverse City, Manistee, Ludington and the western coastline is beautiful. I've ridden the Badger twice. But riding across the Mitten didn't make it any better. With a few exceptions, Pure Michigan = 4/10 for many of us. Sorry if it offends you. If it's any consolation, Wisconsin = 3/10 so it has that going for it... which is nice.

I agree I like riding out west. While many hate the flat areas they don't bother me, especially on interstate.
I like the Rockies especially northern and Canadian Rockies. Colorado mountains are cool, but not as dramatic.
I might miss the green if I lived out west .
I really like lake Superior and Michigan, probably would like the rest too.

I believe the best motorcycle road in Minnesota is MN1 from Silver Bay to Ely. It has a lot of curves and steep hills stringing its way through the forest. There are a few other fun riding roads in Minnesota but mostly its farmland and lakes with a few rivers thrown in for good measure. The lakes and rivers are the only things that keep every road from being a straight portion of an infinite rectangular grid. Winters are hell but summers are paradise.
Colorado has gotten too California for me. I have three roads remaining (Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain NP, Colorado NM, and CO-141) before I cross Colorado off the list completely.
Nebraska is the state the surprises me the most. Get off I-80 and ride either the Sandhills Scenic Byway or the Bridges to Buttes Scenic Byway and there's some good riding in pretty landscape. I could die happy if I never drove or rode another mile anywhere on I-80.
I've ridden US-2 across Montana twice. It's not terrible under ideal conditions but eastern Montana reminds me of Alberta and Saskatchewan prairie: look in your rearview mirror and you can almost see your own headlight!

Made it to Gallipolis OH . Got a scare as my bike stalled coming on to an interstate, check engine light was on speedometer stopped working no gear indicator. Stopped at next exit pulled the maxi fuse and reinstalled. All got back working . Next stop I cleared all the codes. Bike ran fine after that. Getting ready to head to Grand Rapids MI. Will just get there. Chill tonight

That is great. My boss is from Green Bay and still owns a cabin up in Door County. He pulled up the weather last week and it was already dipping down into the 40’s at night.
Mo-Reese, we need some pictures!!!!!
