As for last word, sure, I'll keep adding on. Ambassador for pizza in Houghton. Remey and Wooden Nickel in Houghton for old time bars. Mrquette also has ore dock brewery some out door seating. And Black Rocks, I have not been to that one. Escanaba has Upper Hand Brewery, division of Bells.

Sure I'll keep going.

And then there is Hurley.

My main ride is going to be From Holland all the way up Mackinaw Bridge taking 31, 22 the 119 . Probably take 2 across to WI then bypass Milwaukee, I want to enjoy Kentucky mountains… between all that it will depend if we take the Intestate or secondary highways.

US2??? runs across UP not lower WI. As far as highways in UP, one is as good as another really. Not like any are interstates.

Myself Depening where I start I go through Milwaukee then west on 43 just south of Milwaukee, then head to IL going through Beliot then down to Rockfield, avoiding Chicago. Myself I'd avoid 151 and going through Madison. I would rather go Milwaukee.

Wife and I did Michigan/Wisconsin a few years ago. Don’t ignore the cold weather gear advice. In Munising, on July 7, it was 47* in the morning.

If you have a couple of hours to spare, stop at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point.

Tome will be of the essence. I saw a Snowmobile museum on Hwy 2 also. We are packing cold gear

Southern WI is those temps too right now. As I would think below the bridge too.

I second this! 😎

I ran through the lakes a few years back (touched four of the five) and a run through MI / WI is definitely on my “do again one day” list. We went north to Grand Marais / Lake Superior. Nice spot to explore.

Few things I recall:

Petosky and Mackinaw are great little towns.

I found Tunnel of Trees a bit over-rated, but still an enjoyable ride - first half better than the second IIRC.

Some of the fastest traffic (crazy fast traffic) I ever saw was on RT-2 across the UP.

Enjoy! - looking forward to seeing the pics!
