north Georgia area? Rides and places to see?
Thinking of/looking at a trip to that area. Rides would also go up into NC.
This is an easy ride for my brother from north Florida. Thinking 3 or 4 days there
So places to see? Roads to get on. Elijay? hwy 60 and 19 area?
Some decent house rentals near Murrayville
Not Smokies and that part. We have been there and are looking at another trip north of Asheville area. Or is this not a good idea?
thanks

Stay east of I-75 and north of Gainesville. It’s hard to go wrong. 60 from McCaysville to the junction with 19 is a great road. One of the best loops you can ride in the area is 19 from Dahlonega north across Blood Mountain, then take Wolf Pen Gap Road to Suches. Have lunch at Two Wheels, then south on 60 back to 19.
If you are in Ellijay take 52 north across Old Fort Mountain. Helen, Blue Ridge, Hiawassee, McCaysville, the list of interesting towns is long. It’s a great area to explore on two wheels.

Im from Ne Ga. We're blessed with alot of good riding. Blue Ridge, Clayton, Dillard,Hiawassee, Dahlonega, Ellijay & McCaysville all are cool areas. Helen is the tourist trap. Nothing much to see there. Hwy 60, 129 (Blood mtn), Wolf Pen Gap rd (180) have all the curves. Plenty areas to hike or camp if thats your thing. Lots of good eating.
