Default Blue ridge parkway

Starting in/around Cherokee off 441, headed north. Just cruising, any suggestions on a good place to stay for the night.

Not sure how long or how far I will make it, as mentioned, not running it hard as will be one bike. I expect to have my GoPro for filming as well.

No advice, we stayed in Waynesville and just left from there each time. I’m jealous, enjoy!

I live nearby so it’s literally right over there, but to your post of staying in Waynesville, that’s not even 30 minutes in from the south. You come from the north?

I have ridden it from 441 to Maggie and Wayne’s and vice versa.

This is the full run to the north end in VA I believe. Wherever it starts/ends up north.

Hopefully I get some good footage on GoPro to post.

Little Switzerland is nice, but it's only about 100 miles from Cherokee. Although I tend to stop at scenic vistas rather than trying to make time when on the BRP.

The link below has lots of suggestion of places to stay and visit. And some road closure notices/

Little Switzerland is a nice place to stay along the BRP. I've stayed at The Big Lynn Lodge and can certainly recommend it! I'm not sure how many miles you're looking to do, but from Cherokee to Little Switzerland is probably around 100 miles along the BRP.

There are some closures you will have to detour around.

This place is lively at MP248. Not open every day.

Like I said, I wasn’t really offering any advice. We just stayed where it would be central to everything we wanted to accomplish. So when we stayed in Waynesville, we rode all the way to the southern tip of the Blue Ridge and then turned around and rode that back. Did other things. Then a couple days later we left from Waynesville and went all the way to Little Switzerland, and back in the same day.

I'd stay at Little Switzerland--ride the Rattler [226A] both ways then enjoy the stay at the Inn

I've made that ride several times .... Only once stayed overnight on the BRP at the Mt. Pisgah Inn at about the 405 mile marker ... About 470 miles North to South, South to North ...Added in the Skyline Drive ( about 105 miles , watch your speed ) out of Front Royal, VA ... Always a great ride although it's been a few years now ... Excellent scenery ... Mornings can be very foggy ... Multiple turn outs offer great views ... Be careful entering turnouts as some seem to be a bit "off kilter" ... Seen a few riders get the tipsies ... Enjoy the ride
