Texas three twisted sisters ideas
Plotting a winter trip down there in a couple of months. Mid Feb
Places to stay? Side trips? Other roads?
I haven't ridden out there since the 90s. Kerrville looks like most options for hotels. But lots of isolated places to stay
Probably be there only a couple of days

How many in your party? A cabin at "Old River Road RV Resort" may be more economical. Lots of us who ride live here.
Riding in from where? Trailering? Trike or Bike?
Kerrville has all what you need at less money than Fredericksburg.
I live 20 miles from Medina where 337 starts (one of the Sisters) and have ridden them lots of times. Hit me up and Ill ride with you.
You'll need one full day to ride all three roads, 335, 336 and 337. Plan on lunch in Leakey. Fuel in Leakey and/or Camp Wood. Roads in good to very good, but deer are plentiful. Daytime temps 30-40 at 8am up to 60s by 2pm then cooling back down to 50 by 6. Unless we have a once-in-a-hundred-year blizzard.

We always rode down to Kerrville, usually staying in a hotel on HWY 16 (Sidney Baker HWY) in town. The next morning, you ride HWY 16 to Medina where you can stop at the Apple Store. Turning back north on 16, ride to RR 337 and take that over to Leakey. Bent Rim Grill is there as well as a couple of other BBQ joints and bars. Get your room at the “Historic Leakey Inn” which has a restaurant and on-site bar. Keep your eye peeled for local celebrities such as Sheriff Nathan T. Johnson, he’s a great fella to visit with over a cold drink and cigar.
Garner State Park and Concan are south of there if you want to look around some. There are good places to eat in Concan but February isn’t the best time of year to float the Frio River. Back on RR 337,continue West to Camp Wood whose claim to fame is that Charles Lindbergh clipped a telephone pole with a wing and had to repair his plane there before continuing a cross country flight. Good Mexican restaurant there named Casa Falcón, the beans are fabulous. Limited selection liquor store there as well.
Take HWY 55 north to Barksdale then take a right on RR 335. Lots of good riding on that road but watch for wildlife, especially if you get in between two high-fenced properties. The animals hear you coming but there isn’t anywhere for them to go except the road, they are unpredictable as you might guess. RR 335 intersects HWY 41. Go East on 41, about 10-15 miles and you’ll come up on RR 336. Stop at the intersection, chat, smoke and joke then head South on 336 to Leakey.
North of Leakey, take HWY 83 for 10-15 miles to HWY 39. This is one of my favorite rides as it goes along the south fork of the Guadalupe River. Beautiful scenery all the way to Hunt where you should stop at the “Hunt Store” for a cold (or warm) one. Stay on 39 to Ingram then on to Kerrville.

perfect, Juan. Thanks
Me and a buddy at this time. Trailering down from north Arkansas.
He has a trike. I'm on a road king
Deer are Standard Procedure up here, too. Thanks for that.
We will try to leave the day flexible, to squeeze it in between weather systems. I will for sure holler back!
2 days down there/3 nights
Going to look at the cabins as well.
