RK's (at least RKC's) are notorious for being back breakers on long trips. Buy a back rest or pack a Tbag enough to use it as a back rest. I do the latter and found a back rest made for cars and strap it to the Tbag...it's even lumbar adjustable. I do this because I really like the way the stock seat looks and I don't want to change the look of the bike to accomodate better back support.

Well. . . STOP THE PRESSES. . .

I was all approved and all set.
Was going to pick up the bike on Monday (Sept. 3rd), and today they told me they had made a mistake and the monthly payment was a typo. . . actually $100 more per month. Just couldn't make it work. ARRRGGGG! ! ! !

Had to cancel orders for gear and things like that, and call folks I was stopping to see on the way home to tell them "never mind". . .

Oh well. . .

Looks like I am still on the side lines.

Still hoping that one day I see you on the Road! ! !

Got plenty of time? US 98 to US 61 (The Blues Hiway). US 61 to US 49 stand at the same crossroads Robert Johnson made his deal with the devil. US 49 to I-40 throught Little Rock. If you have the time time US 65 to US 412...or I 40 to US 71.

The US 65 to US 412 is out of the way but really nice scenry and chance to meet some of the most country folks in the US of A!

If you decide on US 71 north out of Shreveport...there is construction going on as Louisiana struggles to keep up with Arkansas efforts to extend what will be I-49 all the way to KC eventually!

Going to Fayetteville for Bikes, Blues & BBQ?

Good luck! I am way jealous!

If you are going to stay for awhile at your destination, you may want to consider sending extra stuff ahead of time by UPS or whatever.
I have a friend that does this when he goes fly fishing.
He can travel light - the hotel holds his package - he fills the box back up and sends it back to his house.

I don't recall if anyone else mentioned this but a small flashlight is a good idea in my book.

a typo? I don't think it would be a bad idea to pay a little visit to the contract attorney. That piece of paper with a "typo" on it - if signed by all parties, is an enforceablecontract.
