Default July 2023 Road Trip

The wife and I, along with a few other members will be riding out to CO, UT, ID, WA, OR, CA and NV next month after the 8th. It would be great to get together with whoever can along the route to ride, have a beer or a burger as time permits. General route will be from Ft. Worth to Denver, then over to UT and up through ID, over to WA, then down through OR and into CA and over to Reno. We plan on 10 to 14 days so we have time to see the sites. Chime in with your location and we will see if we can get together!

Russ

That is just fantastic; thanks so much for sharing all these great pics!

Man, I'm LOVING that! So great! God bless them with many more together....
We met so many people and shared stories along the way. When you meet other people riding bikes, regardless of the brand, you instantly have something in common, a shared bond. It’s easy to talk about where you’ve been, where you are going, the routes that are awesome, some that aren’t and even what do you do about butt burn. We’d talk about equipment, hotels, a good lunch, the rain that is coming and even share some sunscreen if they needed it.

It has been a rewarding experience to meet all of the people we have met out here on the road. We didn’t discuss politics, religion or what Joe has done to embarrass our country today. We met genuine people, doing what they love and quite a few others who were interested in what we were doing and even some who wanted to do what we were doing. This is a real lifestyle that is shared by millions of people around this country and the world, not a paradigm created on HDF. Sorry you missed the opportunity Robb, but hopefully you followed along and saw what people who ride motorcycles see, if even through the lens of an iPhone.

627 miles to home, gotta make tracks!

EDIT-I have to give credit to my bride of 37 years for the photos, she has really stepped up her game and has been a real trooper from day 1. Thanks to her for the pictures and so sorry to get you up so early for so many days.

Sounds epic! If you wind up near Atlanta, Macon or Savannah, I might be game. Of course, you're required to post pics of this epic journey on your return. Ride safe!

I believe you know where I'm at Russ. If not, central Iowa, Des Moines specifically. I'll be heading to our annual Wisconsin trip on 6/21 through the 25th.

On 7/23 I'll be heading to Sturgis area, returning on 7/29. I would love to meet up with you along the way. Both trips for me are HDF friends and acquaintances also. Please keep me in the loop on your travels.

We have safely arrived in Raton. The picture is of Capulin mountain, one of the best examples of a volcanic cinder cone. 627 miles today.

The last 100 miles were nothing but an *** beating with STRONG quartering winds. The bar opens in 8 minutes.
