Nice indept video of great roads around the country for those that haven't experienced them.

I haven't been on a couple of these so will be on my radar this year!

I think the .gpx files are still on motorcycles.com for download, seems they have changed their website a little. They did have those routes/roads in the video, pretty sure,

This is from a little over a year ago, another good thread by the OP

Mt Evans being the highest paved road in North America is a bucket list ride for sure.
It seems a little sketchy with no guard rails, switchbacks, goats on the road, & of course, the terrible drivers in cages. They swing wide & don't think there are issues parking in the middle of the road to stare at the goats.
Worth all that I would still ride it of possible.

We've been to the southwest (4 times I believe) and Utah is my all time favorite place to ride and visit. So much so that she wants to go again!
During July/August the weather is usually hot and dry but we have done the trip once in September with cooler temps and a little rain but we did have frost on our seats on a couple of days in the higher elevations and if you go in September be prepared with proper gear and clothing.

With so much to see and do out that way, and for the 3-day ride (each way) from our part of the country, trailering and then doing a loop ride is really a three week trip.
Many times in the past my wife has flown in to a nearby airport and I pick her up, and depending on where we are going I have dropped her off at another airport and then I return to my truck and trailer for the ride home.
We have pets and even having a person come and feed them daily we still don't want both of us to be gone at the same time for more than two weeks.

Pike's Peak is now also paved all the way to the summit----or so I'm told.

Mt Evans and Trail Ridge Road were the two roads I definitely felt the heebie-jeebies.
Glad I rode it, probably won't again.

I've been out here 45 years and haven't been up either Pikes Peak or Mt. Evans. I see Mt. Evans every day on my way to work. About 1 1/2 hours to the top from my house.

I lived in Longmont, CO from 1990 to 1997, so I am really taxing my old memory.

As I recall, Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in North America, and, as mentioned earlier, it stretches between Estes Park and Grand Lake.

How ever they want to describe it.... They're both pretty damn high.

Mount Evans - Peak Elevation: 14,130ft
Trail Ridge Road - Peak Elevation: 12,183ft

Mt Evans is the highest paved road, where the Trail Ridge is the highest paved Mt pass.
