Default Las Vegas - Red Rock

Finally it looks like the Sweetie and I can do some travel. We are in Virginia and there are some tantalizing air/hotel packages available for Las Vegas. Plan would be to do a couple day rides around southern Nevada with a rented touring bike. Any thoughts/experiences/recommendations greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ed

I made that ride a few years back. Rode thru Red Rock and then cruised over to Mt Charleston for lunch. Mt. Charleston is a ski resort areaand because of it's elevation,is a welcomed ride if it's a hot day

Ed, Red Rock Canyon is only about 20 miles west of LV, and is pretty nice. Also, Valley Of Fire is about 60 miles northeast of LV and well worth the ride! If you run down across the Hoover Dam, into Kingman, head west on rt 66 (yes, that one!) about 20 miles I think............Oatman Az has got to be my favorite spot on earth! Have a good trip. I envy you!
