Stay tuned.

Day #6 we did a boat tour of the Lake Geneva mansions. Then on Day #7 we rode with Adam Sandavol again on the final leg of the Great American Convoy into the museum.

Lots more to come including Kentucky and Tennessee.

That's a cool and clever exploded view display, very nice

Fantastic and very much enjoyed! Geneva Lake is one of those resort towns that has exclusivity and money oozing from every pore. We loved our visit there, and will be back in the near future...such a fine place with many things to do. Our daughter and SIL live just an hour from there.

The H-D museum....what hasn't been said about it? Mind boggling amount of things to see and history to take in.

Yes, it is very creative. The camera makes the room look brighter than it actually is. With the low light level, the illusion works well. Cool stuff!

You can say that again! LOL

The museum needs a lot more time that we gave it. I think we were inside maybe 2-1/2 to 3 hours. It's incredible that the MoCo saved so much history. I think that is the best thing my HOG membership gave me back!

Lake Geneva is one of the most interesting places. The "OLD" money is on a scale few can measure up to. We looked at some of the kids laying out on the docks at these expensive homes and wondered if they even realize how the rest of us live. There was a home pictured in the Lake Magazine that just sold for $38 Million. You have to marvel at estates like Wrigley and what they cost back 75 to 80 years ago.

The little town just has such a nice vibe to it. We were waiting for a table at an outside restaurant and struck up a conversation with a couple that live in the burbs of Chicago and have a home on the lake. He commented they bought theirs 35 years ago when it was affordable. I had to laugh to myself. Super nice folks.

I would like to go back and walk the entire circumference of the lake. It's pretty cool that there is a walkway around the entire lake. I think it works out to 21 miles.

mostly only during the summer months. it drops off after Labor Day. not sure if you noticed the overwhelming amount of Illinois plates compared to Wi. Then in Feb there's Winter Fest which is crazy busy. They dont let you park on the ice anymore. a few years ago some cars went though the ice.

I was stunned to learn that they take all the docks and pilings out of the water every winter. Then I was told that the pilings are not driven into the ground. The tour guide did discuss ice boating. That is probably cool on that lake.

yep. the lake freezes over every winter so they gotta come out. i helped put in a pier and take one out a couple years ago. a lot easier in the spring putting it in when everything isnt all waterlogged. i saw the ice boats once and yeah, it looks like fun.

Default Thursday Day #6

We booked a boat tour of Lake Geneva, and the kids came over and joined us.

Again, there is a lot of old money and very nice expensive homes on the lake. There is a lot of history that is always fun to learn.

After starting the day off at a slower pace, we chilled until the kids arrived. It was overcast, but zero threat of rain which was fine with me.

While waiting for the tour we walked around a little checking things out in the area.

I won't bore you with a lot of pictures of homes. One interesting thing is every dock has a number in order. I think the total is just over 1600 if I remember correctly.

They still deliver the mail by boat and there are YouTube channels that show the young folks jumping off the bow of the boat while it is underway, dropping the mail in the box and jumping back on the stern of the boat.

Default Friday Day #7

Friday Day #7 is another exciting day, and we were glad to be back on Ginger for the ride.

The plan was to head over to Uke's Harley Davidson in Kenosha, WI. Today is the final date to hook up with Adam Sandavol for the ride to Milwaukee. We came with a donation twice as large as our last ride with him and were proud to support the "Wounded Warrior Foundation". I'm sure you know by now that the total raised was $600k. Great job people!!!

I've got my shirt on; the bike is ready, and the sky is clear! Time to roll.

We were not prepared for the crowd at Uke's. I expected it to be large, but it was totally crazy! I met some of the nicest people there from around the world. On guy had ridden overnight on his 2021 CVO Road Glide all the way from Atlanta, GA to be there.

This is "Dean". Such a nice guy and he actually remembered us from Virginia.

Our daughter and SIL with their dog "Theo". Theo is a hit everywhere he goes, but especially with Adam and his wife.

Enjoying some lunch and listening to the band prior to the ride with Adam.
