The ride was leaving at 12 noon heading for the Foothills Parkway. I have a ton of Go Pro footage to edit and pull photos from.

Here are a few shoots along the way.

Rusty Bagger really liked my Clearwater Erica spots. I went down and turned them kn for him.

Pictures from Deals Gap.

The weather by the way has been wonderful. We got a very light rain for a few miles after the ride started. Then the sun came back out and it was really nice and cool. We just had a thunderstorm roll through around 7:30pm. We are back in NC and sit outside under the overhang at our motel and enjoyed it.

Stay tuned for day three. If the weatherman is right we'll be suiting up in the morning.

Some VERY cool bikes inside that dealership. Really enjoy looking at all the photos. Foothills Parkway and Cherohala Skyway....two beautiful rides. I can close my eyes anytime and be there quickly.

Day 3

Sunday July 18th

Waking up at Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville. Thanks Eva and Dan for you hospitality. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Moonshine Steak House next door last night. Yes Graham is a dry county, but you can get your favorite adult beverages at Moonshine.

There was a thunderstorm roll through last evening before dark. We set outside under the huge eve and enjoyed the lightening show and the cool temperatures..

A couple rolled out across from us at 6am this morning. We'll be on the road soon. other than light sprinkles for short distances we have stayed dry and not suited up.. it's been a great "Open Road" adventure.

Salmon and she loved it!

Apple glazed poek chop. Excellent flavor and huge!

Fog folling in

We rolled out of the Two Wheel Inn at 8:30am. The wind was cool and the ride along the Nantahala River was beautiful. We have stopped in Bryson City for breakfast. Enjoying some coffee at Mountain Perks downtown across from the train station. We have the best seat in the house.

Looks like a great weekend. I've watched a few Traveling Tall videos, they are good. Side note: his sponsor Custom Dynamics is a few miles from my house. My buddy bought a taillight from them, and it failed. He drove by there to see what they could do. They brought out another light, installed it, made sure it was working 100%, and showed him around the factory. They don't give tours per-se, but if you order something from them, you have the option to pick up in person. And they will show you the place.

Be safe and have fun, it's wet and calling for rain all day here at home.

Yeah they have one of the best collections of older and unusual models. I will post some more pictures of them for everyone.

I got a huge laugh from everyone. We were all ustairs and about a dozen people standing around the table where Tall was. He smiled and I walked over and shook his hand and immediately said in a loud voice "Am I the only guy disappointed that he is not as tall as I expected" as I scanned the crowd. They laughed like crazy and his cousin said he always looks taller because all the rest of the family is so short! Yeah CD makes some good stuff.

Home safely. Arrived at 2:30pm. It was very hard to pass those exits for the BRP, but we needed to get home and decided not to flirt with the rain. Amazing we rode three days and over 500 miles with Thunderstorm predictions of 50 to 90% all the time and never hit one!
