Lol......a dish of ice cream like that after that lunch would put me right out......Maybe I'll get the wife a trike and she can pull me behind in a napping trailer......ha.....

I already told her that when we hit our target weight (keto), we're going to Stratford rd for Dewey's cinnamon rolls, then across the road for a box of warm Krispy Kreme's, then home to make a churn of homemade banana ice cream......lol.....

No ride report for a while now. Not because I haven’t wanted to. Last weekend we had a reservation in Myrtle Beach for a overnight ride. Went to bed Friday night packed and ready. Woke up Saturday morning with extreme weakness, a low grade fever and the worst headache I have ever had and zero appetite. My wife was very concerned as was I and I told her there is no way I can ride and we need to stay home. By 3pm Saturday I ask her to take me to the ER. They did blood work, urine, CT scan and Covid. The only thing they found was my white cell count was up and I was dehydrated. They gave me fluids and said if I was not better in a day or so to come back. Sunday and Monday were a little rough. Then I started feeling better. But my Thursday I could barely walk and all the same original symptoms. So back we go and this time I was there for 7 hours. They came very close to admitting me. Blood work again, urine, EKG, Covid, the works. Now they tell me that the first trip my sodium was a little low at 130. Now it is down to 127. I’m still dehydrated which is crazy with all I have been drinking. They gave me fluids again and strict orders of what to eat and drink. They agreed to let me go home as long as my Doctor could see me on Monday at the latest. She can and I going in first thing tomorrow. The good news is I feel much better yesterday and today. My wife has taken exceptional care of me. I cannot hold our bike up right now much less ride. Then just as things are looking up the phone call comes in this morning that my father has passed away. It has been a rough day and a rough week.

My father was a wonderful man. Very kind, humble, loving and successful. He always loved and served the Lord! He also liked boating and as I was scrolling through pictures today I found some of us up on Lake Ouachita near Hot Springs, Arkansas. This was his first house boat a 45 footer. It was a steel hull with twin 318 v-8 and sounded pretty bad! This was our last time on this boat as he finally purchased a new custom order Stardust Cruiser which was 14 x 70 foot with full entertaining top deck and radar arch. He said it would be his last boat and he named it “Final Option”.

My father on the left, me in the middle and my younger brother on the right. Not sure what happened in this picture but it messed up my brothers eyes. By Dad had just retired as Senior VP of franchising from TCBY where he started from their founding and sold the first 1100 franchises.

My wife and our daughter Lindsay. Good times!
