Thanks, you inspired this ride and I appreciate that. I actually enjoy taking pictures and documenting events. It all started while my father was still alive, but not in physical condition to do the things like boating and riding motorcycles that he had a passion for as a young man. I would write a daily report of our rides and send it to him with pictures. My stepmother told me to please keep doing it, that he really enjoyed it and was living through us. I just have not stopped. My wife tolerates me and has actually started to embrace it. Especially now that she is famous as the “Carolina Girl”!

The Carolina Girl and You are famous in my Opinion! You just Brought out some serious thoughts about my dad.... HE started riding in 1950 (HARLEYS)! With out going to details... Harleys have pretty much been in my life a very long time. I started riding them in 1971.

We love the NC mountain area, we just haven’t been able to get up there this year between the weather, obligations and such. Still planning to though. But planning our Michigan upper peninsula ride now. Thanks for posting man.

The ride over the UP will be awesome. Let us know when you head our way. I need to plan a BBQ get together.

Default Meet Andy

On the lighter side. Our renter had to put her dog down last year. She has so wanted another dog. Every time she thought she had found one it went to someone else before she could get it. Yesterday the perfect dog came her way. She named him Andy. He is between one and two years old, a class A personality, just the right size and house broke. I am so happy for her and now I have a dog next door I can go love on.

Default Father's Day Weekend

The Carolina Girl said this is my weekend and what every I want to do is the plan.

I washed Ginger last night. Put the sheep skin on and she is fully serviced and putting smiles on our faces.

I woke her up a little earlier than she likes on Saturdays and said let's ride!

Time to roll. Water in the cooler, fresh batteries in the Insta 360 and sunshine on our faces.

The preRide kiss.

Our first stop is at Darwins in Yadkin County. I'm sharing a top secret with just my closet HDF friends. This is the best keep secret in Yadkinville for all meals.

Default Crossroads HD

So you tell me there's a chance!

The Carolina Girl says No, heck no to buying a Pan America.

But she did buy me two tickets to win one!

Wish me luck!

Man things are rocking at Crossroads. The parking lot is packed and there is fun in the air!

Default Hunting Snakes

Fathers Day Ride continued:

We rolled out of Crossroads HD heading North on 421. I told the Carolina Girl we were going to hunt snakes. That went right over her head. The only snake she likes is our Snake Venom SGS!

Quick break for go juice.

It was crazy getting through downtown Boone. I think it may have been Boone Days. People and traffic, vendors and setting up a stage for a concert.

The Daniel Boone Inn was totally packed and you could smell the wonderful aroma of the food in the street!

God Bless America & our Veterans

In no time we had entered the kingdom of Tennessee. That big orange T.

This is from the pool table at the Shady Valley general store.

You've figured out by now that we are heading to "The Snake"!

A few shots along the route, through Mountain City and the twisties of the snake.

Making hay whe the sunshines.

I thought we had caught up with Rob and Amy.

Welcome to Mountain City!

Got BBQ. I've added this one to my BBQ list to try out next time.

Yeah a few switchbacks.

Sportbikes actually taking the ride easy.

Nice to see another cruiser.

Traffic was light.

Gotta love a dunebuggie!

Such a beautiful day.

Danger around this corner.
