Yellowstone 2018, in the books
Our group( 5 couples) just got back from our trip out west, 10 days of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Trip actually started about 10 days earlier when the riders from our area loaded the bikes behind Brandon HD
When we arrived in Jackson the bikes were ready to roll

Next day was onto Island Park, Idaho where we had rented a house for 3 days to spend time in the western area of the park that we didn't get to see 2 years ago. Spent time in the Old Faithful area and went to the Grand Prismatic Springs which lived up to my expectations, Very impressive
Saw lots of wildlife

On the 3rd day we rode up to Big Sky, Montana, nice scenic ride but the road was crap
We left Big Sky and rode up to Bozeman. Excellent stretch of road and scenery but I don't have any pics.Next day we were on our way to Cooke City for the night and we rode up to the pass on Beartooth, weather was pleasant but the wind was BRUTAL!!
More pics later......

After a night in Cooke City we headed to Red Lodge for the night, maybe 50 miles or so away. We had time to kill before check in time so we jumped on Chief Joseph Highway and rode to one of the turnoffs( towards the beginning near Cody) .
Nice road, but I don't know. it really doesn't do it for me. We backtracked to 212( Beartooth) and made it into Red Lodge for lunch and then to the hotel. 2yrs ago we stayed at The Alpine Lodge ( recommended here) and couldn't have been more pleased. Larry( the owner) is an ex-chef and told us last time that he would cook dinner for us if we were interested. David( 56Flu) set it up with him for a bbq dinner . It was great, we didn't have to leave for dinner once we got there. Ribs were falling off the bone
