Default Back of Dragon

I've rode tail of the dragon. But back of dragon looks really good. Think I'll take in New River Gorge also on rode trip.

It is a very good ride and not as crowded as the Dragon. The restaurant at Hungry Mother State Park is good also.

Enjoy

I've heard good things about Wolfs if you like good BBQ i(n Marion)...
Biggest thing is is the sheer cliffs along the way, block your view of traffic. Thankfully there has always been light traffic, on VA-16 when I've been there... but any oncoming traffic, seemed to be in my lane...
Good road, good vaement

Check out Cuz's outside of Tazewell, if you're in the area around dinnertime

Back of the Dragon is a good ride. You can follow Rt 16 all the way to within sight of the New River Gorge bridge if you are so inclined. Runs through what is left of the southern WV coalfields. War and Welch WV have some pretty interesting history.

Rode that whole area this past June...excellent roads.

Wolfe's was good and don't forget Skeeters for hot dogs.

There are no bad roads in that area, some are hust better than others.

There were 4 guys who were on this ride,(out of 6) who have ridden The Dragon.

We all felt these roads were better and the lack of traffic is much better.

The Dragon just has a better marketing dept.

Good ride but I found the Tail to be better maintained. Loose gravel in the tunrs is a bad thing.

I rode it 3 years ago in September and thought it was just as much fun to ride as the dragon. Loved the whole area and the view from big walkers tower was exceptional on a clear fall day. Best of all is the light traffic! If you have the chance, you owe it to yourself to ride it.
