I've always found this site extremely helpful and accurate when planning my motorcycle trips.

I was on a backroad and found the Hatfield Cemetery. You can park beside the road and walk up the hill graves.

I live and ride in the mountains of WV so please feel free to message me with any questions.

If you want to get off the bike and do something fun check out Adventures on the Gorge in Fayetteville, WV.
The Canopy Tour is awesome. 10 zip lines and some repelling. Takes around 4 hours to complete.
They also have other cool things to do as well.
If you are going to Seneca Rocks might as well hike to the top.
Easy hike that takes around 1.5 hours.

You might also want to check out the Greenbank Radio Observatory.
Cool place with the worlds largest steerable radio telescope.
Free tours as well.

I hope you are going to ride the Highland Scenic Highway since you are going to be in Marlinton.
Great ride with lots of view.

BTW: My sig pic is on the bridge at the bottom of the New River Gorge.

Thanks for the ride recommendations, Im planning on heading to WV in the fall, september or october. Whats the weather like down that way , is there a month in the fall that would be better than the other for riding?

I grew up in Fairmont, WV just south of Morgantown.
We used to go to Coopers Rocks State Park, and Cheat Lake in Morgantown.
Valley Falls State Park in Fairmont.
If you go a couple of exits south to Faimont, there was a Pizza Place called Colasessanos Pizza.
They have amazing Pizza and Pepperoni Rolls with sauce and cheese that I have never found as good anywhere else.
The last time I rode through West Virginia the roads were in bad shape - potholes that would eat a front wheel, so keep your eyes open.

I like September better than October. The fall colors are better and the weather is more consistent. It can get pretty chili in the mountains in October and the weather can changed allot during the week. Most of the leaves are off by mid-October as well.

I must've gotten lucky when I was there 2 years ago in October. 3 of us went to Bridge Day, 3rd Saturday of October. We rode down from upstate PA in chaps on a Friday, and were in short sleeved shirts on Saturday & Sunday. It was great.

Ahh, you were in the low country. There can be a 20 degree difference between Fayetteville (Bridge Day) and the mountains where the best riding is.
