I looked into renting for 2 weeks out of Rapid City was almost $3K.Figure half that to have your own bike there.

Wow,I rent from EagleRider and average about $1100 a week . We’re headed to Vegas in March and renting for 9 days at just over $1200
I would love my own bike but at the cost of around $1600 to ship out and back is ridiculous

Aloha,
first post but I know this answer. im just getting for a mainland ride and am going with Pasha. Seems like they ship out of Honolulu or Maui to San Diego. Going rate seems about $695 per passage.

I have found it cheaper to ship then rent. It all depends on how many days and will you be returning to the original rental location or doing a one way travel. Think Seattle to LA, renting will be more expensive.
