Default Two week trip Sturgis and Colorado

Well, the wife and I are about to leave on a 15 day trip to Sturgis Via Colorado and all point between. I will try to post daily update and pictures/videos as I can. We've already hit our first snag! The plan is to leave in 45 minutes at 6 am and there is a pretty serious storm cell east of us in Benson, AZ, so we are going to wait that one out for a little while and hope to get on the road shortly.

Subscribing. Safe travels. Look for me when you get to Sturgis. I'll be the long haired guy on the black Harley.

If you haven't been, The ridge ride up in Rocky Mountain National Park is a bucket list ride.

When do you plan on hitting the RMNP? I'll be there starting 25th.

Been a couple of semi eventful days. Sunday we had rain for our first 35 miles from home but were able to get out of the rain gear after an hour of riding. Well, I guess you may as well get the bike filthy right from the start. Stopped in Lordsburg NM, Hatch and Socorro for gas and a stretch. Made it to Albuquerque by 3:00 for the night and a meal. Yesterday it was cool and overcast when we left and stopped for gas in Santa Fe. What is it about New Mexico they can't put a gas station right at the exit and make you ride an extra half mile. Gassed up again in Raton. Stopped for gas in Pueblo Co and had an Arby's when again a pretty good sized storm hit us. We waited there for an hour for it to slacken up a bit and off we went. Caught another short burst and then stopped in Castle Rock to take of the gear. Hit rush hour traffic in Denver and it was bumper to bumper for 90 minutes to get to our hotel.

Having issues getting my cell phone pics to move over to my iPad. As soon as I figure it out I'll add picture. One more day here and then off to Deadwood on Wednesday.

Well we made it to Deadwood! And I finally have pictures to share!

Lusk Wyoming fueling up for the last leg of today's trip.

View from our room at the Deadwood Mountain Grand

Nice place so far. Covered parking reserved for our bike for the duration of our stay. I'll continue updating on a daily basis.

Covered parking is a great thing to have out there. Never know when baseball sized hail storm will blow up!!!!
