Lusk has a great joint with fresh (not frozen patty) burgers at a bar on the main drag. I think it is Silver Dollar saloon. If you've not been there before it is worth a stop on your way back

Today's update. Road into Sturgis for a quick tshirt shopping spree. Rally officially starts tomorrow, but it's already hopping. Rode down to Mt. Rushmore. Wow! How spectacular is that!

Rode Needles Highway which was very cool until we had to stop for 20 minutes while the emergency services pulled the rider from off the road and put him into the ambulance. We heard that he had a broken foot, but it could have been worse. Guess he got to close to the shoulder and that was all she wrote. I got some good video that I'll add after we get home.

Stay far away from the center line when riding out there. On all my videos from all over the area out there countless bikes are coming at me over in my lane. Unreal how many people are out there that have no clue how to ride a curve and most are nice gentle sweepers at that on the bigger 3 and 4 lane roads.

Just another reminder when riding the black hills at rally time...you will see the entire spectrum of riding abilities from best to worst.

Shiny side up!

Yesterday was a great day! Rode down to see the Crazy Horse Memorial

They've been working on it for 69 years and are supposedly going to have it done in another 25.

Rode the wildlife loop in Custer State Park and saw three herds of buffalo with and this big guy stood in the middle of the road for 20 minutes.

I was smart enough to buy two passes for Da Bus before we came. Takes you all around and they sell beer and water on it. Not partying while riding for these two!

I'll add my .02

We go to crazy horse every year...just love that place.

Needles hwy is always great. Like doing this one early to avoid the heavy traffic.

Iron mountain road. Saw a tour bus driving northbound as we passed it going southbound.... We just shook our heads.

Deadwood. We spent most of today there, we love that town!

Wild Bills saloon in Deadwood. If you get the chance to go downstairs and see the presentation, I recommend it.

Got a lot more to do in the next 5-6 days! Having a blast so far!
