Suggestions Tulsa to New Orleans

Texas backroads used to be better than LA backroads. Shelbyville and San augustine were neat old towns.
Interstate and 167 thru LA are in good shape till Alexandria, don't know after that. Gibsland LA is where Bonnie and Clyde story ended. A little museum there somewhere. Not fabulous but interesting. Natchitoches is worth some time. History buff me loves that kind of stuff. If time, going down thru Morganza and New Roads in LA is great swamp and river country. Hwy 1 south of Baton Rouge was interesting or follow the river. The interstates thru here are long straight stretches of tree lined roads. 'Cept for crossing the Atchafalaya Basin, that's cool the first time.
Maybe Vicksburg and/or Natchez Miss. Great old towns, too.
Been so long since i was in NOLA. Leaving that alone.
