I-95 Philly to Jacksonville
Any advice regarding my impending passage to Jacksonville? For that matter the next day I am heading to Port St Lucie.
Really just wondering about road conditions, not time to stop as Jacksonville is 866 miles and about 13 road hours. (Going to be a long day with stops every 150 miles or so.)

Just returned from that area, Lakeland, last weekend but I was in my Corvette. There is a stretch of I 95 in SC where for a 70 mile stretch, the road is so rough I couldn't listen to CD's as they would skip because of the rough road. Didn't see many cops except for a section in NC. Traffic was rolling about 75+. Not much scenery on I 95 and a boring drive. Lakeland is about 200 miles south of Jacksonville, and Philly is about about 125 miles from Baltimore where I live to give you an estimation of the time it will take. I was on the road for 15 hours, leaving Lakeland Sunday at 4:45 am, pulling into my driveway at 8:30 pm, and was rolling at least 75 all the way stopping twice for fuel and twice to grab a sandwich.

Savannah to Philly I do quite often. either bike or truck.
To avoid Balt/Wash Take 301 down the peninsula cross to Annapolis and hit 301 once of 50/301 going towards Waldo , La Plata you'll blend back into I 95 N of Richmond.yes it's built up along 301 but takes the gamble out of I95. From there watch the miles click off thru the Carolinas and GA

So while 12 had committed to the ride only myself and one other went, they were afraid of the rain. Anyway, I tracked the trip on spotwalla, and it was a great time. Left at 2 am and arrived almost 5 pm. Started with 47 degrees got a bit cooler with an hour of rain, then in SC the temp jumped to 92. The temp was the most challanging part of the ride.
Here is the trace.
Stopped every 180 or so for gas, had a great time.
