Retirement is highly overrated, it can be very boring for someone who was very active... but I think if you have something to do that is creative, that is what is important... I love my company, I just don't like working there anymore... lol... Stepping away from it and moving was a good choice for everyone involved... we had an issue this week, and I was packed and ready to go up to do some bitch-slapping, but it was sorted out once I gave strong direction... so that was good...

I have to go up in a bit for a week or so to put a new plan in play, that I cannot do from Vancouver... but, this is only the third time I have been up there since March, and one of them was to get my motorcycle... I think after this visit, it will be spring before I head up again, unless something happens that needs me on the ground... I am going to surrender both my Commercial DL and my Instructors Licensing over the next month... I have done that before, and had to claw them back, but this time is the final time... it has become time for me to let go of that side of the Company.

I think the biggest issue I have with retiring is that my wife would still be working, and I'd feel guilty about not working. Weird? Maybe, but I really think that's the thing that bugs me the most.

Two more days off, and the weather looks good, so fingers crossed, for a few more miles of therapy.

… if you want to contribute, They’re always looking for burger flippers at The Clown… Of course junior flippers always work Fridays… So there goes your Friday Ride Days… They would become Friday Fri’s day.

The wife went shopping, so I went for a ride, and then we met up for dinner. The ride home was awesome. I love riding as night falls.

Last Saturday of summer, deserves a ride.

Color check.

The Rock River.

Dinner at Fatty's in DeKalb.

Such a nice ride home, as night fall set in.

Not a bad little ride to dinner. Only one more day until vacation is over.

Yep. My 2016 Ultra Limited (Whiskey / Amber), which I bought new in 2017, and my 2007 Night Rod, which my Dad gave me a couple years ago when he gave up riding.

Last ride of summer! We didn't get started until noon, but we still had a really good day. We got home a little after 8pm. We made a 150 mile ride to a winery. The way home was a little bit longer. Cooled down nicely on the way home, but we never did put on our jackets.

Ready for our last ride of summer.

Free tastings!

The getting ready to try them all.....well, just the semi sweets and sweets.

Having a glass of the days favorite.

I had a couple A&W rootbeers.

Dinner in New Glarus.

The weekend of summer, sunset.

All gone.

Today put at just over 1500 miles for my week off.
