Tuesday at about 3:30pm I started to feel a bit off. I missed work Wed and Thurs, and decided Friday Rideday, was a no go, even though I was feeling much better over all, but my throat was still hurting, so I took it easy.
Saturday I was still feeling the same, but by 7pm I just had to have a ride, so off I went.
It wasn't a long ride, but it wasn't during the 98 degree 70% humidity either. It felt really good to get back on the bike.
Sunday, today, was another hot day. I mowed the lawn, despite the heat. I took it slower, and was hydrating like crazy. My granddaughter had spent the night, as my daughters are moving out this week, and she feared she'd never see them again....lol. My grandson was here for a few hours today. I didn't spend much one on one time with either of them, as I only feel about 90-95%. Once the grandkids were gone, I had to go for ride. This time it was about 4:30pm.
I headed down to the Starved Rock area and rode along the Illinois River, seeing Utica, Ottawa, Seneca, Morris, and Marseilles, along the way. I stopped for water in Seneca and gas in Ottawa. I was home by 8pm, as I was hungry and I really haven't had much to eat over the last 5 days, due to my throat hurting.
Tomorrow is supposed to be "move out" day for our girls. I'm sure they'll be back a few times over the next few weeks, but they are packing up quite a bit, as they are supposed to be living in their new apartment for the next 2 years, while they finish school. I may not be working all day tomorrow either.

I got sick a week ago yesterday, and that was the last time I've had a complete meal. I was so happy to be able to go out for our Wednesday Night Date Night, and actually eat. It was a gorgeous evening, but we couldn't ride for hours, as the wife had things she wanted to get done at home, but even this short ride, was an awesome ride.
A hot babe, and hot meal, and a few Harley miles, how can it not be awesome?

Friday's weather was iffy, and I ended up taking both bikes on three different rides. The last of which was at 6:30pm, when I decided to ride to Iowa....lol. I got back around 9pm.
Here's a link to pics, if you're interested.
Yesterday the wife and I went on my Father's "Day" ride. We headed up into Wisconsin. We stopped at Bailey's Run Winery, just outside of New Glarus, for the first time. The wife really liked it. Afterwards we headed west to Boscobel WI, where we stopped and ate, then headed home.
Here's a link to a few pics from that ride as well.
I don't think there will be any riding today, on Father's Day, as we are supposed to have rain and a few storms roll through.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's!!!

It was supposed to rain all day, but it didn't, so I got out the Night Rod for a shorty.
I had to get back before dark, as I forgot my clears.....I got them out, and thought I put them in my pocket....but I didn't. It was pretty dark by the time I rolled back into town. If was short ride, and looked like rain from time to time, but it was a good ride. Nice temps, no wind, and very little traffic. Hopefully it doesn't rain all weekend....like they are forecasting.
