It was only in the mid-40s, but I got a nice ride into today - - warmer weather's coming!

Rode to Galena, surprised the wife with a bag of wine.

Galena trip looks fun, nice pics! Still no power at home, maybe back in 2-1/2 more days. Oh, and 4-8" more coming in 2 days. And I thought the worst of winter had passed, lol.

That bites. We're under a a winter storm advisory, but so far just a lot of wind and cold, but no snow....yet.

Well...in about another hour, it will be exactly 1 week (168 hours!) without power. It has been a very challenging experience!!! Power company says it should be restored by 11p tonight, but they've already missed some targets, so I'm not holding my breath.

You have my sympathy! I know exactly what that experience feels like. We've gone through 2 episodes of no power for 7 consecutive days in years past, and several exceeding 3 or 4 days. It gets very oppressive having to manage a generator and checking everything constantly. Sleep isn't good. Life feels difficult and tiring. All you can do is hang tough and celebrate when it's over. Put the beer outside and keep it cold....

A week without power really would suck, I hope it comes back on soon.

Personally, I'm just hoping to grab a few miles of therapy this weekend, as it looks like things here are improving. Springing ahead Sunday morning is sure going to feel nice...with the later sunsets and all.
