I'm realizing this is probably too late in the year to get back over the Rockies to get home to Saskatchewan

 

Just finished this ride from north to south. Coast was foggy for all of Oregon and Washington with rain in Seattle. A big part of the Calif. coast was also foggy. It is jacket weather from Monterey up with some high 40's in the mornings.

It is a great ride with remarkable scenery. There is so much to see that we were only making about 150 miles a day most days.

Too bad you didn't get to ride the coast yesterday. It was one of the rare days when it was actually warm along the coast. I rode down to Santa Cruz along the coast yesterday. But you had the usual experience along the coast, fog. When it gets hot inland, the hot air rises and it pulls in the fog that is sitting on the cold ocean. On rare days like yesterday, the wind was out of the east which kept the coast from being foggy.
