Four brothers sold their family Farm in the Ukraine in 1903, packed their family's up and carried what they could and landed on that piece of land just south of Hubbard Saskatchewan. Several generations later their have been Judges, a Member of Parliment, successful farmers, business owners, men who faught in the Second World War, teachers, University Professors and one lowly X truck driver who is now a Wanderer.

The dirt feels and smells "different"....

The air smells Sweeter....

This is the North West corner of The Section. Each family got 1/4, but worked all the land together....

I spent so much time kicking dirt around, I stopped early in Melville and got a room. Tomorrow I find the 100Th Meridian .... Where The Great Planes Begin ..... I need to listen to a song there, and see if I can find a Corduroy Road .....

How me, my mom, brother and sister left Ituna in 1956. On that rail line, but in a passenger car, not a Potash hopper..,,

Had coffee with this farmer in a restaurant in Ituna. I parked out front and walked in and he looked at me and asked if I we lost ..... I said "No, I'm home". We sat and chatted for a while. Good thing, because the way I was going was under 4'ft of water.....

A few miles down the road is Hubbard, where my Father was born in 1916...

A Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Hubbard. Where my father would have gone with his family on Sundays .... and maybe where I was baptized. Not sure on that, but makes for a good story...

Roy Romanow (future Premier of Saskatchewan) did the dedication back when he was a Minister of something or the other.

Hey Terry ..... no matter how I set the Nav, Darla wants nothing to do with Southern Ontario.... it's either over the top, or through the States ..... something you not telling me??

Lmao Rocky!

I told you before that coming to this neck of the woods is out of the way.
I truly believe that going over the top is the most sensible way to go.
Remember what I told you about the 401 highway through Toronto??? And when we go east from where we are we go through the states. Have done that 3 times.
