The Alcan is really an International Highway, designed, paid for, and almost completely built by the US Army. There should be an American flag there also.

There is a 6 mile piece of the original Alcan that reaches this bridge. It has a wooden deck, but I think it was restored as a tourist attraction...

....back when bridge builders where artists.... look at that curve....

It was drizzling this morning on and off when I packed. But I risked it and did not put the rain gear on. It rained a bit for the first hour but then progressively cleared up and for the first time since I left Vancouver I saw 80+ F. Got down to my vest and fingerless gloves for the last 2 hours. And big, flat, bump free roads. A good days ride.

#8 ..... and also for the numbers folks. I forgot to add .... one misquote bite. That's it, just one. That was a few nights ago, so I let the little blood sucker get his fill after I saw him land on my arm .... of course I am on 7 different kinds of medication since my heart surgery 6 years ago, with one of them being blood thinners and another one being a Beta Blocker, so I figure he either got very stoned or dropped dead anyway.

Going to load up and head to Edmonton.

So.... when I travel on my bike, I eat like a pig. 4 or 5 times a day often. Fast food,'good food; junk food. I am constantly stuffing my face. Seriously..... constantly ..... so how come I lose weight. I sit all day, and when I get settled in, lay on a bed .... I am down to my first hole on the belt buckle.

Go figure.

Got into Edmonton about 2. Staying at the Yellowhead Inn. Good staff, big room, Resturant on site. Gas station in the parking lot. And $89 a night. It's right on Hwy 16 and the Harley shop is just up the street.

I didnt stop too much, just a few picts, coffee, Canadian Tire (they didn't disappoint me, they DIDNT have what I wanted). It's pretty much 4 lanes from Grand Prairie to here, so I got to fiddle with the Nav and now can get lost much easier.

Going to see if there is a hand spray wash around. It would be nice for most of the crap to be blown off before I take it into the shop tomorrow.
