So I can’t ride right now… So I thought I would do something motorcycle specific… I have 4 places where I keep pictures I have taken, Not counting my backups… on my iPhone & iCloud photos… Those two are synced… in my files which is stored on the iCloud… That’s not synced to anything… The other one is on my laptop and in my hard drive, and those pictures would’ve been everything but I’ve taken with a camera and have been possibly modified in Photoshop
The one I’m sorting out is my Files… And there must’ve been 200 folders in there with pictures in it… So I decided to sort it out… So far I have spent many hours transferring the pictures and deleting the duplicates… I want to end up with a dozen folders so I can easily find the pictures I’m looking for…
… One of the Folders is “motorcycle touring”… And so far I have almost 4,000 pictures in that… And I started taking those pictures in 2015… And I have quite a ways to go yet… It is fun revisiting some of the places I went before…🥰

So far I have moved about 8000 pictures… And I still have a bunch to go… That’s pretty much what I’ve shot since 2014…
Once I have them all in the correct folders… Then I will subfolder them out… The touring photos I will put into the state & Province they were taken in… That is going to be a chore, but well worth the effort…
here’s a taste of a few of them from the past…
Inside passage… British Columbia…
Old Highway1 bridge… California …
Banff… Alberta…
The Very Large Array… Plains of San Augustine, New Mexico.

So… Re-organizing 10,000 photographs into something useable and viewable is a task for sure… But it’s fun to find pictures I haven’t looked at for a while…
Here’s a few from my pre-HDF days when my buddy and I went for an adventure on the back roads of the East Kootenay’s on his Chinese sidecar rig that he imported from China itself…
Fuelling up and getting ready to go…
Don Getting ready to head into the worst of it…
Didn’t quite make it… there was a log buried Just in front of the tire that we couldn’t get over… So we had to go backwards first…
Trying to get around that particular bad spot… It just fit…
At the end of our adventure, we met up with some friends…
Don comes by his love for sidecars honestly… This is his great uncle on his sidecar rig as a policeman in Nelson BC

Now that I have moved everything into main folders… I’m subdividing up into particular folders… In “motorcycles” one of the folders is from my Buell days…
Here’s a few… I may or may not have posted these before, but I’m not going back to look to see if I did… pretty sure these are from 2014… never toured on this motorcycle … just used it for day trips, and around town…
I really enjoyed riding this motorcycle… 100 Hp, & 60 mph in first gear made it a fun bike… It was good on the street and it was good in the dirt… Just didn’t have the long front suspension that my buddies GS has had… so I sold it and bought a GS… Thinking I could keep up with Don… Lol… Couldn’t keep up with him no matter what I was riding…
… up on top of Grey Creek pass… between Kimberly and Kooteney lake…
… stopped for burgers and a beer on the way home…
… heading up towards Mount Baker, which is just south of Cranbrook…
… But turned around here because I did not have a tire repair kit and it was late in the afternoon… And there was nobody else on the mountain… and I did not want to hike out the 10 miles if I had a problem… A guy on a quad had stopped and told me there was nobody ahead of me… So I chased him down the mountain in case I needed a ride to get my truck…
… That’s my buddy Don up in front of me on his GS… We’re heading right into the heart of the Rocky Mountains east of Cranbrook…
… The road that got us there…
… just as much fun riding around town when I was heading for coffee…
… A very interesting looking motorcycle…
