Short ride today… No pictures… Went to Harley for a coffee… Worked my way back home on some back roads… Wednesday I head up to Cranbrook, the new Durango is in… And I’ll switch vehicles and then head back home to Langley … I’ll do my best to take some pictures up & back … Even though I will be motorcycleless…

Default Palm Springs to Josie Hideout

Today, I rode from Palm Springs to Josie Hideout back home Santa Ana, CA. That was my longest ride ever. It was about 200 miles. Would have went more miles but my gf was getting tired of her butt hurting.

Last spring my crew and I did an Iron Butt (1167 miles) from San Angelo to Alpine California.

The next morning we rode to El Cajon and the salesman at the HD dealer recommended Josies Hideout. We had a great time there, place was really cool.

Great ride from Josies, up to top of Palomar Mountain on east side, down west side.
Through Pauma Valley, Pala, Bonsall, Oceanside.

It was a quick trip up to Cranbrook to get my new Durango and meet with the crew to go over a few things… I handed the company over to my general manager, and I am stepping back even further from the operation than I was before… They are running the show really well, and don’t need much from me anymore…

… A few pictures of the drive on the way home…

The top of the Kooteney pass with the moon setting… first breakfast…

… the obligatory Christina lake photograph at the park bench for second breakfast…

…Ossoyos from the lookout… Luncheon…

… the hope slide… Which I remember being reported on the news the night it came down back in the 60s… afternoon tea…

… my new Hemi Durango… This is a very nice car. 25% better fuel economy than the jeep. V6…🥳

Went out for coffee today on the bike… Rode down to the Harley shop… But they were closed… said both Sunday and Monday… Maybe they’ve gone on to winter hours already… So did a little bit of a loop & went back downtown and just found a coffee shop that I know that would be open … no outside chairs but there’s a nice bench there that you can rest on.

This could be the last weekend that we get this on the WetCoast… I’ll suit up and go for a ride on Sunday…

Chaps, electric vest, Egrips will be on.. cross the bridge and ride up the North side of the River to Hope… and come home through the back roads of Chilliwack & Abbotsford… should be a good day for some fall pictures…

I don’t know how you people live up there!

It hit 84 today here in NC. A very comfortable 84 degrees.

This evening we rode to dinner with just long sleeve T’s.

Sorry, had to rub it in.

Never did get out that sunny day last weekend… Decided to stay home and bake bread instead… Anyways… Thursday, I am driving up to the Rocky Mountains to do a couple of days of work up at the office… Drive up Thursday… Drive home on Sunday… so with a bit of luck I’ll get some decent weather and be able to take some nice pictures on the road… to late in the year to risk the high mountains of Southern BC on the Bike on a quick trip…

… my favourite time of the year… from my balcony today…

Funny how you still have colored leaves. Ours has been long gone and on the ground.
