Old saying… If you want to make the gods laugh, just tell someone your plans…

… our elevator went Kaputski … And now I found out that it’s going to take six months to get it fixed… So all of my motorcycle plans just also went Kaputski… Because I can’t leave my daughter in the building by herself without an elevator… Oh, well… 2024 isn’t that far away I guess… the only plan I have that might work is the September one…

Well that sucks. Maybe moving would be the better option?

we have chatted about that… But the weather up in Cranbrook would not be good for her… And all of her doctors are down here… So we need to stay close to the medicine… The company is OK… The managers are taking care of it… So my future is in Vancouver area … moving locally doesn’t make any sense… We will just have to put up with the issue until it resolves

One of the things that always worried me when I was traveling, was the loose bridge in my mouth… If I had a problem with it on the road… It could’ve been quite an issue… Several years ago, I decided to get complete dentures… And I finally put it off long enough…

… yesterday…

Because I am on blood dinners, I had to do it in the hospital… In December they put me on a 4 to 6 month Wait list… But because of a cancellation I got in early… And in this picture, I am in the preparation room… I went from there to the pre-op waiting room… Then into surgery… Then into the recovery room…

… And then they took me back to the preparation room to get me ready to leave… the entire event took about eight hours… Surgery and recovery took a bit longer than anticipated… they wouldn’t let me leave until my O2 & blood pressure was stabilized…

… home again, home again, JiggityJig… And it feels like there are two clamps in my mouth, one of the top and one in the bottom… these are just temporary until the real ones are made, that should be four weeks or so… it’s a bit painful when i swallow… That should go away next couple of days…. I will need to learn to talk again… Right now I sound like I have a mouth full of marbles … I had to get up a few times in the night, but generally speaking, I had a decent sleep…

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery Rocky!

I'm sure with a few days rest you'll be back to normal. Good luck with your recovery.
