Here is the weather forecast for two weeks out… Ouch…
… If those are the temperatures in Cranbrook… And if it’s raining like they say it’s gonna… That means there is a high likelihood of snow up in the mountains the weekend I want to come home… Looks like I’m taking the Grand Cherokee...

We just had a temp drop here too , went from 70's down to 40-50's , time to wear the heated gear , fortunately for me , no snow yet . After being down for a couple of months from my eye surgery , I'm hoping to be riding for at least another month .
Will you still be able to ride , just not through the mountains in certain places ?

But as to getting through the mountains… If you head south out of Cranbrook, down to Spokane, and then down to the Columbia river… You can get all the way to the coast without crossing a mountain pass at all… You have to cross the mountains only if you stay in BC… But there’s even a low elevation route that you can take from Cranbrook to Vancouver that keeps you below 3000 feet in elevation… But it’s a two day ride either way just to stay at low elevation… The Columbia river ride is the safest way to keep away from snow… The BC Route is the prettiest. I have done both.
