Glad you. Got them working, our riding is a ways off. Todays snowfall is mighty pretty.

It is about 30°F outside… But the wind, and the dampness makes it feel like 20°… My Rocky Mountain riding clothes, won’t work down here very well… So I’m gonna go to the shack today and get my Klim gear… I need something wind proof, and if I have that, and my electric gear, I will be fine… I’m also going to get my full coverage helmet… I need to adapt to the West Coast climate…

Tomorrow is my 69th birthday… I’ll go for a nice ride then, once I am suited up properly…

I've thought about heated clothing, have ridden most of daylight cool enough snow on the ground wasn't melting, with no heated gear just bundled up, but the salt starts here with the first snow (pre-salted one year before it ever snowed) and I park the bikes then, probably would seldom use heated stuff. When it gets really cold here I need something close to a spacesuit just to walk around, to me -20F/-29C and below is just brutal. 20F above I can take the coat off shoveling snow, though, not good to sweat below freezing.

Keep having those birthdays and you're going to be a tribal elder. 69... in my experience that means your eyesight won't get better, you won't get stronger, it gets harder to get up from a recliner, I can run zero miles, and most tv shows seem too stupid to bear (although that might be because they are). This past week I've had a cold (or covid? has seemed the same for me) and a couple days ago briefly turned the heat up to 68, warmest I've been this year. Yep, won't be long and you'll be getting old. The permanent unemployment isn't bad, though.
