well… I am back home in Langley… That was a long four weeks I was up in Cranbrook… Working seven days a week almost… Nice to be home… And we definitely have some motorcycle weather coming… So I went downstairs and started up the bike, and tomorrow I’m gonna go for a ride…
Looks like motorcycle weather to me…
… Started up nice, but the heated grips don’t work… Hope it’s just a fuse.

I will give it a try… I’d also run a code on it to see if there’s anything

The P&A fuse powers the heated grips through the P&A relay. If you have a volt meter or test light check to see if you have power at the battery tender connector, 12 V means the fuse is good. If you have power at the front power outlet, looks like a cigarette lighter, the relay is good and so is the circuit up to the grips connector. I had the same problem and twisting the grip control helped but I finally replaced them with OEM.

Thanks Bill... I think I have power to the cigarette lighter in the fairing... I will check it out... I have also had a few issues with the plug in the right grip... I will look at that closer also... the grips where working last fall, but then just stopped on the last ride of the year... I have not looked at it that close yet to see if it is something i can fix... thanks for the schematics... I will print them out on my colour printer today...

Fixed... I have had this pop up before, and was hoping it was the same thing... the plug on the right grip had become detached... and all i had to do was plug it back in... but for anyone who has had to do it before will tell, you it is a bit of a pain in the butt... very small plug, you need a pair of needle nose plyers, and it is almost imposible to see the end you need to plug it into... so it took a bit of pissing around... but there is now heat on the grips... and I checked out the heated vest at the same time, and it is working also... so a nice toasty ride... I have to do some family chores now, so I will go out tomorrow... Sunny until the weekend... cool, but it should be decent with the heat working...
