Went out for lunch yesterday With a good friend and her daughter… As you can see by the sign on the building this is the old Cranbrook fire hall… Converted to a great restaurant… Excellent fish and chips…
I’m getting very use to the new Rekluse clutch… And even after a couple of days I’m beginning to wonder how I ever rode without it… It’s going to be an incredible wrist saver when I get back to the Beach and start riding in traffic.
… I won’t be back up into the Kooteney‘s until the middle of August, so tomorrow I’m going to head West to Creston, then up the Lake Road and onto Revelstoke… I’ll be tying down there for the night…
This should be about an eight hour day… I am experimenting with Google maps to see if I can use it to map out my day ahead… Seems to work.
A wonderful great first ride of the year… The weather cooperated, and the roads were quiet… I tied down into my usual Revelstoke Mall Hotel, but it looks like it’s going to start raining any second… With 100% chance of wet tomorrow morning… Oh well, I made out of sugar… I will do a full update on the ride when I get back to Langley… But here’s a picture of tomorrow’s ride…
It should be about another eight hour ride tomorrow, plus the stops… I am going to run Highway 1 all the way to Hope, that takes me through Boston Bar, and keeps me off the freeway… I have not been south on the Fraser Canyon in a very long time, so I am looking forward to some “new” old road…
