Well that was quick… Robin ordered they recluse clutch bits and pieces couple three days ago… They’re already here, installed and the bike is ready to go… The bits and pieces, taxes, & installation was about $1500... Robin took it for a test ride… And told me that you do not need the clutch to put it into gear if you choose not to… And do not need to use the clutch for any gearshift… A click of the toe… And away you go

It was fun while it lasted… But it was time to move in a different direction… The new owner likes it very very much, and will ride it much more than I do.

It's a bike well suited for your travels. I'm sure a dealer somewhere will hook you up.

Making a run for the mountains on Thursday… Decided that flying was too much of a pain in the ***, so I’m gonna Rent-A-Car and drive back up to Cranbrook… Spend about three days working… And then ride the motorcycle back to the beach… Here’s an idea of the route… But I will play it by ear and make decisions on Monday when I head back…
The route includes heading back to Creston, then up the lake road and continuing through the West Kootenays to Revelstoke… Then towards Kamloops, and up into The Lake Country, Little Fort and Towards 100 mile house in The Caribou , then down through Lilloet , Duffy Lake Road, through Wistler and then back to Langley... Two long days or three short days… The weather will decide which it is.

So I finally got to ride the bike again today… And the Rekluse clutch is a very interesting tool to get used to… Pulling up to a stop sign, you really, really want to pull that clutch lever in… But I found that it works just like it should, although you do need the clutch lever to shift the bike to make for smoother shifting… what’s nice about it is that you can actually pull away in second gear if you choose to… What I don’t like about it, is that if you go to park the bike on a bit of a incline, the bike won’t hold back because the clutch will be disengaged… So no transmission parking brake available… But overall it’s going to be one hell of a Left hand wrist saver… And I’m very much looking forward to riding it when I’m in traffic.
After I got the bike out of the storage shed, I went down to Robin’s to chat him up… He is going to look into the next modification for me… A Baker reverse gear…
