We did all of that route in 2 trips last year. Calgary to YPR and back through George, Interlakes and Kotenays and another from Calgary to Torino and up to Port Hardy. Fantastic riding and scenery. Don’t forget your rain suit!

as I said, my brother lives in Duncan… He’s taking the week off while I’m there, where gonna run out to Tofino…I also have a buddy down in Victoria, the first guy I worked for when I got my truck driving instructors License … Run down and say hi to him too… And my brothers gonna run me up to Campbell river where we have an old friend… And then they’ll both run me up to the ferry on sailing day… And yes I will be taking my rain gear… LOL... I’ve been a logger on the West Coast… And you never go out, unless you can suit up

Default If your serious about north of PG

Hi Rocky if your serious you won’t be disappointed, pine pass to chetwynd is as good as lolo pass with no traffic and better highway conditions. I have gone from Chetwynd to tumblr ridge and seen mire moose than vehicles. Chetwynd to Fort St John you want to take hwy 29 through Hudsons Hope. These are great rides with very little traffic until Ft st john.

I have always wanted to do that ride through Tumblr Ridge… I guess this is a good year to get some of those rides in… I’m not giving up on a US run for this year yet… But probably targeting September like my last year‘s New Mexico ride.

Hey Rocky,

Sounds like a great ride.

Dunno if you're interested but there are a few side roads to take on VI.

Lemme know if you're interested. They're easy to sort out on Google I guess.

Sooke - Jordan River - Pt Renfrew. (SB the road was a little rough. NB should be good...)

Herd road (From Lake Cowichan) through Crofton to Chemainus then on to Saltair before Ladysmith.

Cedar road coming up to Nanaimo.
Nanaimo Lakes Road.

Highway 4 to Tofino does have some traffic delays on the Kennedy Lake Hill. Not terrible but it can be upwards of twenty minutes is all.

The road out to Gold River is quite nice / scenic.

Just a couple of loops if you want to stretch it out. Mind you you said you worked on VI for a time. The Port Renfrew to Lake Cowichan Road is paved now - I had to be mindful of gravel on some corners though.

Talk to you later.
Harry
