The Journeys of Darla ....

Well… It doesn’t look like much is going to happen with the company until about the 7th or 8th of June, as to when we will get the Road test back… So I’m gonna head out tomorrow on my little rounder… Just need to load up the bike tomorrow morning, And “head west young man, head west”… Of course I will be posting here as I am Journeying along, also to my blog and “the 2020 challenge” as well. It’s gonna be good for the headspace.

Great day for a ride… Very little traffic anywhere, I saw a decent amount of motorcycles… Two ferry rides, couple of gas stops, got to chat with some folks… That was nice… Checked into the motel in revel stoke and they gave me a bag lunch for breakfast… Which immediately became supper… Here’s some pictures...
20 minutes out of town…
... That’s the Creston Valley, looking north up towards Kooteney lake...
... The obligatory dead tree picture, on Kooteney lake, looking south… This is about halfway to Ferry...
... had a good chat with these fellow travelests On the first boat…
... On the boat looking south towards Creston

The day started off sunny and bright… And then clouded over in about an hour, so there was no good light for any photography… The exception of about an hour and a bit there was literally no traffic, C 19 has taken care of that… Lots of restaurants out right closed, some offering very limited menus, and McDonald’s only has drive-through‘s… It was a great riding day, just a real **** day for taking pictures… Here’s a few…
I have very strong opinions for nonessential travel restrictions…
... A random mountain from the side of Highway 5…
… Several nice rest stops and lunch places on Highway 5... this one in particular, I stayed overnight at several years ago in my camper and With bear... So I stopped in for a memory hit…
... The mountains on the left are the Columbia mountains... on the right are the Rocky Mountains… This is basically the same trench I live in… Called the Rocky Mountains Trench… There was a plan back in the 1950s to build a damn just below the Canadian border and flood this entire trench almost all the way up to Prince George… It was for electricity and water for California…
... Heading east about an hour away from Jasper, is Mount Robson… Makes for a much better picture on a clear day
