Big Bend is a hot place to be in the summer (you already knew that) but very nice in mid spring. Try and get down through Texas before the end of May... Or wait till September!

The weather looks good for my Minnesota run on Friday.... I will be driving over on Hwy 2 with stops at Shelby and Minot, and will be doing my best to get it done in three 8 hr days.... Jeep has the good tires on her now, Toyo Ice/walnuts, so that will help. I downloaded a new tool for my iPhone called Gaia GPS and it tracks your travels... I will use it for the Road Trip and if I like it I will incorporate it into my travels next year.

I have hired a full time Instructor who will be spooled up by the end of April.... with the re-tasking of the crew, I will be able to step away from the company more... Target is to go for a nice long ride end of July, hopefully by then all the ducks will be in order. It has taken two years so far to get The company back on track, but I am almost there... I love my company, and enjoy owning it, but do not like to work there anymore on a daily basis... I am done... I am not ready to sell it, but of course, no one has offered me enough Zero's yet to test that resolve.

Got as far as Shelby Montana... that was the plan... about 7 hrs on the road... there was about 6 inches of snow on the Jeep this morning, but by the time I got peddling a bit of slush, until Browning, then bare and dry, but damn Windy... tomorrow it is as far as Minot ND... sorry for the crappy picts, forgot to clean the lense

The obligatory Elko junction pict... you can see the slush that was on some of the road... the walnut dipped Toyo’s are working out great...

... top of the pass between Whitefish & Browning, no snow on the road, just in the parking lot but damn windy, blew my hat and Sunglasses off... I put the Jeep in “Snow” mode and hammered the throttle, stayed straight and true and stuck like Gorilla Glue...

... the new Gaia App is pretty cool, still more to learn about it, but sucks the battery down pretty quickly...

... into the Great Plains... these are well placed... lol

In Montana we referred to that country as The HiLine.... US 2 across the top of the state. Great motorcycle road, IMO, except on those days the side wind from north can beat the living crap out you. Wolf Point can be a bit sketchy. Travel safe.

Heading out early... do a couple hours in the dark... target is Minot ND today... roads look good, should be bare & dry, confidence is high.

Well I wanted a road that was devoid of Trucks and cars... The Hi-Line delivered. All I saw was a dozen of so Tractor/Trailers, and they where all **** Haulers (cattle liners), hay wagons or grain hoppers... and a Crane.... and very little Car traffic.... Williston better hope Electric cars are way down the pipe, or they will be turning that oil town back into Farm Land... Stopped in Glasgow for lunch and fuel, but other than that peddled all the way to Minot and got a room in the first Motel I saw. About 8 hrs to Minneapolis tomorrow, and I will Slab as much as I can.

Today’s drive.
