Great essay on the photography.
I like the idea of ‘use the iPhone’ for online platforms and the dslr for offline printing.
up until this past spring I only ever had the phone to use... but with our cross country trip in spring, decided it was worthy of using a ‘proper’camera... bought the kit, took a photography workshop and started snapping.
literally ALL of my photos, until very recently, are online... but I’ve now started to print some... and I can honestly say, it certainly makes you focus on what is to be printed. ‘Scuse the pun.
digital, far too easy to rack up the number of photos taken and kept... but look to print them, and suddenly you are looking ruthlessly at each capture prior to sending to print. (A project of mine this company not fall is putting together a photo book - never done one before, so I’m looking forward to it.)
i use snapseed for all of my mobile photos... fabulous app.
i use Lightroom for my Nikon photos, and on rare occasions will even use snapseed after that to make some finishing touches.
you've given me food for thought Rocky... cheers matey.
stay well,
Steve.

Rocky, if you get back to Vernal you should stop and visit with Randy Fullbright a friend and artist. https://www.randyfullbright.com/
He is often referred to as "our " Ansel Adams. His photography of Dinosaur National Monument is breathtaking. I've joined him on a few hikes and he will go places carrying all his equipment I won't go empty handed.
