Hwy 30, the Lincoln Hwy, is good road also! I have ridden it from the Wyoming/Nebraska border all the way through Nebraska and loved it! That was one of our preferred routes when heading to Milwaukee. I loved all the small towns. Again be aware of gas range and gas stops.

Ollies Steakhouse in Paxton NE used to have good eats! Been a number of years since I was there!

I did a bunch of it East/West a few years back.... liked the rural route aspect of it.

Might I recommend CO hwy 145 from Cortex to Dolores. Continue Along Dolores River over Lizard head Pass to Telluride.
Telluride to Placerville.
Hwy 62 to Ridgway.
Hwy 550 to Montrose.
Hwy 50 to Gunnison

Sure if you want to spend 3X as long on the road and see the exact same stuff as you would from I-80 go for it. Cheryl and I gave it a try and after about 6 hours of getting nowhere fast we said fvck it and made for the interstate. Trust me, I'm not a fan of interstates but after all the awesome roads you've been on these past few days, the Lincoln Highway will blow chow.

On the other hand, if you're just ambling along and don't care how long it takes, then I might do it. There are some pretty spots.

Or.......... if you want good scenery, make a bee-line (I-80) for the Mississippi River and work that north to Minneapolis. It would take about the same amount of time as the Lincoln Highway and there's some good riding to be had in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Depending on your time frame I might even be able to meet you and ride part of it.

I think it might be 6 days of a “I wonder where the hell that road goes?” Kind Of thing.... but for sure, let’s find time for
a steak somewhere.

Cool. Let me know what your schedule is. I should be able to schedule a "business trip".
