I got to Vancouver and got busy... but here is an update. The motel in Omak was quiet and clean, parking in front of the door and several restaurants within walking distance. I picked a nice Mexican place which was right next door. The motel had a decent hot breakfast, so I ate there then saddled up and headed West on 20. Now 20 is a great road like I said, lots of twisties and sweepers and an old school road with the forest right beside you. I got to Winthrop and parked, and found a fresh cinnamon bun with my name on it.... there where quite a few HD’s parked where I was, many from Alberta... I chatted with that crew a bit further down the road... then I headed up and over the Pass, what a beautiful road and view... it’s bucket list material.... got down the west side, stopped for fuel and coffee and a route home... up to Bellingham and straight North to Aldegrove, onto the Freeway and into West Vancouver.

Some pictures.....

Winthrop is one of my favorite places to visit. I have on occasion ridden over the pass just to eat at Carlos 1800 Mexican Grill. Looks like you had good weather.

There is a nice rest area on the West side heading down that has a great view...

... some fellow travellers from Edmonton heading to Port Angelis, and then over the ferry to Victoria...

... looking North from a pull out... That’s Canada in the distance.

That Alaska line kinda reminds me of Bugs Bunny. Maybe you should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque...
