Brrrr ! Pacific Coast Highway
If anyone is planning a trip down the PCH from Monterey to San Luis Obispo, wear something very warm. I just did the trip this week and just about froze in the foggy/misty weather. Having come from the Central Valley where it is hot, I didn't pack the right riding gear. I should have brought my goretex winter gloves and my winter riding jacket, rather than my leather mesh and my lightweight full fingered gloves.
It's a very pretty ride and I enjoyed it, except for the cold. Next time I'm packing thermals regardless of what month it is.

The PCH can get like that quick. I've had that happen to me twice
Headed down from the Bay Area on the PCH to Hollister , all is nice 90+, went through the Pinnacles and back over to Santa Cruz ...Fog and 50
I took a tour with my bro and some buds up the central valley from Sacramento to Willits .. 100+ , hopped over to Fort Bragg for the return trip down the PCH 40 degrees and fog.. luckily we all pack for the changing weather.
The road is nice but after living out there many years you learn to always have at least a sweatshirt and warm gloves in your saddlebags

I plan on doing the northern part next year. I've learned some lessons along the way on this trip and will pack for the unexpected next time.
I ended up going to Pismo, which was a nice little beach town. I recommend the Cracked Crab for dinner. It's expensive, but a very good meal.
