Pics from West Virginia Foliage Ride
On US-48 (the "Highway to Nowhere") near Moorefield, WV
At Blackwater Falls all the leaves were gone already.
But east of that last ridge, it was still beautiful. This is heading back on US-50 west of Romney.

I agree. West Virginia, north to south, east to west has some of the best riding roads in the region. I've eaten on the porch you're talking about at Seneca Rocks many times! A pretty ride in the fall and spring also.

The foliage in the Sierra are nice but nothing beats the foliage in the Appalachians. Great pics. That is one of the things I miss having grown up in the east and having moved west as an adult.
