Default Pics from West Virginia Foliage Ride

On US-48 (the "Highway to Nowhere") near Moorefield, WV

At Blackwater Falls all the leaves were gone already.

But east of that last ridge, it was still beautiful. This is heading back on US-50 west of Romney.

What did John Denver say "Almost Heaven, West Virginia" ... If he'd been there in the fall He'd have said "Heaven, West Virginia" ... Great Pictures!

Excellent pictures. My favorite riding season and one of my favorite states to ride in. Lunch at Seneca Rocks on the porch some day.

I agree. West Virginia, north to south, east to west has some of the best riding roads in the region. I've eaten on the porch you're talking about at Seneca Rocks many times! A pretty ride in the fall and spring also.

Love it, thanks for sharing! The best fall colors out west here are in the Eastern Sierras when the aspens turn yellow, gold & orange.

The foliage in the Sierra are nice but nothing beats the foliage in the Appalachians. Great pics. That is one of the things I miss having grown up in the east and having moved west as an adult.
