I was in my cage their past summer going through There and stayed at the days inn. There were 5-6 bikes that were parked right in front of the enterence with in good view of the desk. There were a couple of places to eat within walking distance. The whole town smells like a refinery. No views from Days Inn.more of a industrial, commercial area. And a BBQ place that delivers nearby.

Goggle camping near Cheyenne, Wy, there are a few places available.
Theres a KOA just outside of town, I find these to be pretty handy with small stores, laundry etc.

Was there something else going on in town that made rooms a premium? I.E. scarce? If I got an attitude from the front desk I would have asked for the corporate phone number, not make mention that I would call them. Then go out into the parking lot and check for other motels in the area, make a last minute reservation, ask for the desk persons name, then cancel the first res. To me it's not worth getting my dander up over some dick behind the registration desk. When you get home then an e-mail is in order, include location , time, date and person involved and other particulars.
